I’m Hanh Nhi, Founder - Director of Southeast Asia Neuroarts Foundation . Realizing that many people in my region suffered from fatal Neurological diseases and the potential of using art to understand the brain, I founded Southeast Asia Neuroarts Foundation . With the desire to create a community where people in Southeast Asia can find support and companionship in their ways to positively maintain Neurological health, I hope that through our project’s activities and research articles, people can furthermore understand the importance of Cognitive well-being, and also appreciate the eagerness to share the empathy to disadvantaged patients who have been infected by Neurological illnesses.
Hannah is a junior at Stanford University majoring in biological chemistry. An aspiring physician-scientist, she is involved in neuroscience research on campus and serves as a pre-clinical volunteer at Cardinal Free Clinics. She also conducts research on choroid plexus carcinoma and post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus. Outside of school, she also helps direct the International Young Researchers’ Conference Medicine and Research summer program and International Young Researchers’ Conference Winter STEM program. In her free time, Hannah enjoys baking, going on walks, and listening to Taylor Swift.
Kyle Ngo, a graduate student in Genome Science and Technology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), has always been driven by the desire to discover treatments for diseases that disproportionately affect marginalized communities. During his undergraduate studies at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, he conducted research on a rare genetic disorder called mevalonate kinase deficiency. Currently, he is actively involved in oncology immunotherapy research at UBC, contributing to the advancement of cancer vaccines.
